Un día de descanso activo!

Esta etapa es de tan solo 14km y 400 metros de subida, incluyendo el desvío para visitar al monasterio de Santa Maria la Real de Obona.

This stage is only 14 km long and 400 meters uphill, including the detour to visit the monastery of Santa Maria la Real de Obona.

Como describir el amanecer en Tineo.....si la  foto le hiciera honor, no necesitariamos palabras. Solo podemos decir que cada paso de esta etapa fue inolvidable.

How to describe the sunrise in Tineo.....if the pictures would do it justice, we wouldn't need any words. We can only say that each step of this stage was unforgettable.

Apenas dejamos el albergue comenzamos el ascenso de unos 250 metros hacia Campiello. El ascenso, que es suave, fue acompañado por el verde del valle, como lo dice el cartel escrito por algún poblador, enamorado de su tierra.

As soon as we leave the hostel we started the ascent of about 250 meters towards Campiello.  The ascent, which is gentle, was accompanied by the green of the valley, as the sign written by some local, in love with his land, says.

Los 12.74 km que separan Tineo de Campiello son imperdibles por sus montañas, sus valles cubiertos de nubes y la belleza del sendero que va cambiando a medida que avanzamos.

Y asi fuimos pasando por montañas y planicies de altura con sembradios y poblados.

And so we went through mountains and high plains with crops and towns.

De nuevo en el bosque, nos desviamos unos 500 metros para conocer el monasterio de Santa Maria la Real de Obona. Si bien tiene origenes confusos, en el siglo XII era un importante centro benedictino de perfeccionamiento en técnicas agrícolas y ganaderas.

Back in the forest, we deviated about 500 meters to see the monastery of Santa Maria la Real de Obona. Although it has confusing origins, in the 12th century it was an important Benedictine center for perfecting agricultural and livestock techniques.

Su arquitectura es románica, como lo indica, entre otros aspectos, su entrada.

Its architecture is Romanesque, as indicated, among other things, by its entrance.

Se puede entrar a la iglesia pidiéndole la llave al dueño de un bar que se encuentra 1.5 km montaña arriba, pero dado que la puerta nos permitió ver el interior a través de sus hendijas, creímos que era suficiente visitarla de esta forma para evitar de alargar nuestro recorrido. Así pudimos ver el Santo Cristo de Obona que data del XII.

You can enter the church by asking the owner of a bar 1.5 km up the mountain for the key, but since the door allowed us to see inside through its cracks, we thought it was enough to visit it this way to avoid lengthening our tour. Thus we could see the Holy Christ of Obona dating from the XII.

Retomamos nuestro camino a Campiello y una media hora antes de llegar nos encontramos con Jovino, un granjero, con un pequeño tambo, que se ofreció a sellamos nuestras credenciales de peregrinos. Jovino resultó ser un personaje simpático y de lo más amable que le hizo pasar un buen rato a todo el grupo de peregrinos que se había acercado a su finca.

We resumed our journey to Campiello and half an hour before arriving we meet Jovino, a farmer, with a small dairy, who offered to seal our pilgrim credentials. Jovino turned out to be a nice and kind character who made the whole group of pilgrims, who had come to his farm, have a good time.

De vuelta en nuestro camino, media hora más tarde llegamos a nuestro destino, Campiello, poblado por 29 habitantes y otro tanto de peregrinos!

Back on our way, half an hour later we arrive at our destination, Campiello, populated by 29 inhabitants and the same number of pilgrims!
